NO SIGNINGS

The cash injected Premier League club Manchester City is not expected to make any huge signings in this transfer window with more players probably finding their way out of the club than arrivals actually entering a squad that is already filled with stars on almost every position.

Manchester City has already showed what they are capable of doing with the squad available at the moment for them. Bayern Munich faced off against the team of Manuel Pellegrini and the Germans took a surprising loss as City played in what might have been their best form in this season so far.

Even though the victory did not mean pretty much anything as Bayern Munich still concluded the Champions League group stages at the top of the group and Manchester City followed them closely behind, the victory still meant something much more valuable for them as Pellegrini demonstrated just what they are capable of doing.

John Guidetti is a 21 years old forward who has no chance on being feature on the main squad of Manchester City as they are already packed with players in the attacking department of the club and because of this reason he was offloaded to Feyenoord on a deal that saw the youngster playing 23 matches for the Dutch club.

His time at Feyernoord was well spent as he impressed everyone by scoring 20 goals in 23 matches and attracted the interest of West Ham and Stoke City as both clubs are trying to make their way on signing him either it may be a loan deal or a more permanent move.

Joleon Lescott is another player that is looking for his way out of Manchester City and even willing to take a pay cut on his €90,000 a week wages in order to allow Tottenham on making a loan move for the defender.

Lescott is not one of the preferred options of Manuel Pellegrini in his starting lineup which has seen the Englishman having less and less time on the playing grounds and with the 2014 World Cup coming up, he will need to secure playing time anyway he can in order for Roy Hodgson to even consider bringing him along for the ride.

CITY TARGET WONDERKID

The 14 years old wonder-kid Brahim Abdelkader Diaz was a transfer target of Barcelona and Manchester City but unfortunately for the Spanish side, City have already completed signing the player that is being called as: ‘’ The New Messi’’.

The family of the youngster was having talks with Manchester City in the past week and now it is believed that an agreement has been reached with the young player preparing to make his move to Manchester next week as the club has paid £300,000 upfront for Diaz. CITY HIT SEVEN

Manchester City returned to winning ways after a 7-0 win over Norwich at the Etihad stadium. They had lost in the Premier league match against Chelsea in the final minute. Another defeat would have been a disaster for Manuel Pellegrini’s men, but they returned to form with this impressive win. Pellegrini will now be looking to translate this form into away from home because this is where City have been struggling this season. They will be taking on CSKA Moscow in the Champions league in midweek. Pellegrini has said that it is important that his players do not get carried away after this impressive win.

City have the chance to seal qualification into the last 16 stage of the Champions league but they need to win their match against CSKA Moscow. After the defeat against Chelsea, City have now won two matches in a row starting with the League Cup win over Newcastle. Pellegrini has once again stated that his team did not deserve to lose against Chelsea. City committed a last minute error to allow Fernando Torres score a goal. This meant that City have fallen several points behind Arsenal even at this early stage in the season.

“We were very unhappy when we lost against Chelsea, but we didn’t deserve to lose that match, we dominated possession, so we continued playing the same way. We won against Newcastle in the Cup in midweek and I thought today we had a really good match. Norwich did not have a chance to score, we scored seven and could have scored more,” said Pellegrini after the Norwich encounter. City have tough encounters in the upcoming matches including opponents like Spurs and West Brom. Manuel Pellegrini would be happy to have returned to form at just the right stage in the season.
